The Lost Tea Company helps to bring a range of both edible fermented tea and loose leaf drinking tea from the hills of Shan State, Myanmar to the UK. Our organic teas are sourced exclusively from smallholder farmers.
Fermented tea, or “Lahpet” as it is locally known, is eaten across Myanmar, from Yangon to Mandalay. It is an iconic and traditional ingredient which has been enjoyed for centuries. It can be used in a range of dishes, though typically found in a tea leaf salad (Lahpet Thoke).
Our products, which also include ginger tea and an assortment of nuts and beans, are available in both the UK and Myanmar.
